Jane’s walk 3.0

Jane’s Walk is a worldwide concept, and anyone in their neighbourhood can be a part of it. Jane’s Walk is fun, engaging and participatory. It is a tour given by people that want others to know about different aspects of their community. Our purpose, within the St.James Town Youth Council’s Jane’s Walk Committee, is to lead the walk and let people know about the various interesting aspects of St. James Town – one of the largest and most diverse communities in North America. This year’s walk will take place on May 5th, 2012 from 3:00-5:00pm, starting off at Sherbourne Subway Station. Just for a preview, the walk is going to be a fun and surprising experience. We have many interesting stories to share—some stories that we didn’t even think to be significant. Our purpose is to highlight mostly interesting, funny and as well as serious events that have taken place within the community and provide as much information as we can within the two hour walk – especially how people within the community live in harmony, and some facts about the ongoing urbanization.
